Instanced Containers are good for creating objects that are repeated throughout a Hype and have shared properties. For example collectables, like coins. Instanced Containers can also be applied to objects to give that object the game logic in the container.
The contents of an Instance can be made visible or hidden in the editor by clicking the Hide/Show Icon at the bottom of the screen when the Instance is selected.
Edits made to the original Instanced Container will also be applied to any copies that have been made from it. Let's say we decide we want our coins to be a football, we can open the Visual Component in the Details panel on the coin in the Instanced Container and change it to a football and all our coins are now footballs.
Users can create their own Instances and there are also a wide variety of premade Instances & Add-ons available. To access pre-made Instances click the Add-ons Icon at the bottom of the screen.
When making copies of an Instance there are 2 options:
This will make a copy of the Instance's contents, or an instance, that can be placed in the Hype.
When editing the Instance those changes will also be applied to any of these copies.
This will create a new, separate version of the Instance and it's contents.
Edits made to the original Instance will not affect this new one and edits made to this new Instance will not affect the original or any copies made of it.

Instead of the details menu that most components have, Instances have a node-based visual scripting editor! Access this editor from the Details Icon at the bottom of the screen with the Instance selected.
Component Nodes will appear as 2D tiles in this editor. They can be moved around by clicking and dragging on the tile. The screen can be scrolled, allowing room for many component nodes. Add more components to the Addon with the button on the lower left.
The Add Link option allows you to make connections between nodes. Click the plus and select what type of connection you'd like to make, then drag from the 3 dots to the desired component and choose the desired function.
Unselected, the Component Nodes will only display their connections to other Nodes. Tap on a Node to expand it's view and edit it's parameters.
Finally the Instance can be given a name. As your Hypes become more complex keeping your components organized and named will make coming back to edit or remix them much easier.
